Industry: Electric and Water Public Utility

Semeron assists clients with designing and implementing of an organization to support recently implemented enterprise systems. This requires the analysis and re-structuring of departments and divisions. Specifically, we guide our clients in the following areas:

What Was Our Client's Problem?

Our client, a large electric and water public utility, implemented an enterprise system for Human Resources, Financial Accounting and Work Management. The client implemented the system on time and on budget. Upon Go Live, however, our client did not have a Post Implementation Support Organization to handle on-going usersí needs for support, training and documentation. No process existed to manage enhancement requests, trouble reports or additional reporting and functionality needs. The Information Technology organization was not staffed to provide this support and project team members from the business units all returned to their pre-project jobs.

What Did Semeron Do for Our Client?

Working together with the CIO and members of the Information Technology Management staff, Semeron designed, developed and implemented:

How Did Our Client Benefit?

The support structures established with Semeronís assistance are still in place four years after implementation. Decisions regarding future investments, policy changes, process improvements and system upgrades are made according to the standards established by the Post Implementation Management Team. The integrity of this decision making process results in user and Management acceptance of decisions. This support organization served as a model for future post implementation environments at the utility.
